Organization and Affiliation
Sunwest Volleyball Club is a Junior Olympic (JO) club that is dedicated to the development of
young athletes. Sunwest is registered with the Southern California region
(SCVA) of USA
Volleyball. The season runs from December through the end of June.
Sunwest organizes its teams by age group. Within each group, teams are chosen by
athletic ability and skill level. All Teams practice two or three times weekly, and attend all mandatory SCVA tournaments.
Three 18's teams - 11th & 12th grade; five 16's teams - 9th & 10th grade;
one 14's team - 7th & 8th grade
